Body Wrap & Spa Tips Scattered throughout this website,
you will find spa tips that are helpful for home and salon spa uses. Body
Wrap Tip Number One: Spending 10-20 minutes in the sauna, steam room or a
hot herbal/seaweed bath is the first essential step to any body treatment.
Warmth and moisture will greatly enhance the benefits of your body wraps.
Staying warm before and during the body treatment ensures maximum
effectiveness. Tip Number Two: Properly prepare your skin for the body
wrap by using a body scrub or dry loofah brush before applying the body
wrap product. Doing so will ensure proper exfoliation - a necessary to
step to all face and body treatments in the spa!
What is A Body Wrap?
Body wraps are treatments that envelope the
whole body in various types of linen, heat retaining foils, bandages or
blankets. Products that are applied to the body are mainly seaweed, sea clay or
herbal based. These types of treatments are done for a variety of reasons.
They may be done to detoxify, firm, tighten, smooth, lift and tighten skin
and loosen fatty tissue, incorporating the use of heat and blended seaweed,
herbal
and botanical flower plant essences. Bodywraps
are intended for inch loss rather than weight loss. Signature
body treatments may be created by adding body scrubs, massage oils
and other body wrap products designed to compliment the treatment. next>
